A Short Comedy of Sorts
1M / 1F
Approximate Playing Time: 10 minutes

Santa hates kids, snow and elves. He signed a contract with Father Time to take on the mantle while drunk at a cocktail party. And he’s had it up to his beard with the stupid job. Mrs. Claus sees the bright side. “You’ll get to live forever,” she tells him. But that sounds even worse: a billion years from now when the Earth explodes he’ll spend all of eternity floating around space. Mrs. Claus thinks what’s best is for Santa to stick to Hot Cocoa and take his meds. But his meds make him jolly – and Santa hates being jolly. He might as well go outside and play with the Polar Bears, “at least they like me,” he says. Mrs. Claus reminds him not to rough house too much as the Polar Bears tend to get over zealous. And it seems she was right. But Father Time was wrong. Santa isn’t going to live forever. $10 Single Use Copyright Fee plus $15 Royalty per Performance for Amateur Theatre.  Professional Theatre Royalties Calculated on Application.
