The ever-upbeat CoCo has summoned her emotionally distant sisters to her color coordinated home for a sister photo; a reluctant family tradition honoring the birthday of their not-so-favored elderly mother. The hardened but intellectual Ricki and corporate successful Bea are less than enthused by the occasion or amused by CoCo’s insistence that they dance together, and worse yet, that they dress in god-awful identical bridesmaids dresses for their photo. But with enough wine, the three discover they have more than their share of common experiences as they maneuver through middle age and ultimately, an overwhelming love of Spanx. If you haven’t been there yet, you will be, give or take twenty years!
