A native of Utah, Chelsea Frandsen was bitten by the theatre bug at age three, and has never recovered. She has worked in design, dramaturgy, fight choreography, and directing in addition to her script scribbling. When Chelsea was in high school, she started a neighborhood and after-school children's theatre company, where she adapted and directed works of Shakespeare and other classics for her students for the next ten years. In 2012, she decided to follow the Bard's example and turned to writing original works, the first of which, Angel's Alley, premiered in 2015. Her work as a theatrical artist has been seen at Brelby Theatre Company, Renaissance Now Theatre and Film, the Great Salt Lake Fringe, Utah Shakespearean Festival and Utah’s Covey Center for the Arts. Her latest play--B/V-- named a semi-finalist at the Pegasus Play Lab in 2019. Her greatest loves are her family, theatre, dark chocolate and ginger…in that order. Follow her theatrical musings at stagecraftutah.blogspot.com and New Play Exchange.
