Sherrie Pesta

Sherrie Pesta, Ph.D. lives in Tallahassee, Florida with her husband and two lovely daughters. She holds a doctorate in Theatre from Florida State University, a master’s in Theatre from the University of Georgia, and bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and Drama from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. A theatre educator for more than 30 years, Sherrie has taught college-level Theatre and Communications courses for FSU, TCC, DePaul University, Mount Marty College, and UGA. For nearly 15 years she taught high school and middle school drama students, coaching award-winning Thespians at district and state competitions. She has directed dozens of theatre productions for professional, community and academic stages. Highlights have included a national tour of Cinderella for Stage One of Louisville, KY and Desire Under the Elms at Glen Ellyn College in Illinois. Sherrie has written more than sixty arts and entertainment reviews, a novel, and five plays. She is thrilled to publish Pencils, Paper & Poison with Heartland Plays, Inc.
