Boris, a nebbish, is in love with Anna, a knockout. But Daddy isn’t at all intent on his daughter marrying the luckless, ineffectual Boris. Anna insists that Boris stand up to her father but Boris has no interest in getting slaughtered and begs her to run away with him. Daddy chooses a Mace to kill Boris, but Anna insists it will make too much of a mess. Won’t Boris stand up to Daddy now? No way! It makes better sense for the two to run away. Daddy returns with a sword – still too messy, Mother would hate it. And then a lance. If only Boris would fight for Anna! But, alas, it’s clear. Daddy is right. So there is only one thing for Anna to do. And it’s going to be messy. $10 Single Use Copyright Fee plus $15 Royalty per Performance for Amateur Theatre.
